Head Natalya V. Semenova, Dr.Sc. (Biol.)
Core facility “Centre for the development of progressive personalized health technologies” bases at Scientific Centre for Family Health and Human Reproduction Problems. Core facility was established to develop and conduct research studies and diagnostic testing in the priority areas of science, technologies and equipment development in the Russian Federation, to improve the quality of education by using equipment of Core facility, and to provide services connected with the use of Core facility equipment to all potential users on a shared use basis.
Core facility’s objectives are:
Boosting the use and utilization efficiency of the Core facility’s equipment
Bringing all measurements to uniformity and validity when conducting a research with the Core facility’s equipment
Preparation of specialists and highly trained staff (university students, postgraduate students, doctoral students) using sophisticated modern scientific equipment
Boosting scientific integration and application of the interdisciplinary approach when conducting research studies at Scientific Centre for Family Health and Human Reproduction Problems.
Core facility’s research area is to search for mechanisms of disease development including usage of omics technologies, with the development of personalized approaches to prophylaxis, early diagnosis, and treatment of major communicable and noncommunicable diseases.
When conducting a research or experiment, the following techniques are available:
Mass spectrometric techniques
Next-generation sequencing
Polymerase chain reaction
Electrophoresis
Light microscopy
Videomicroscopy
Spectrophotometry
Fluorometry
Colorimetry
Immunoenzyme techniques
